Green ocean is a conclusive campaign which is suggested by the Electronic Times addressing deep rooted and world wide environmental problems, achieving sustainable development and creating new business opportunity. To obtain this goal, innovation in energy industry is indispensable. In this regard, Green Ocean Forum designates its main discussion subject for this year as Smart Grid.
Smart grid means an electrical-power grid using digital technology that enables suppliers and consumers to exchange real-time electricity consumption information. Promoting this innovative grid system is expected to address energy efficiency, energy independence from fossil fuel and environmental problems including global warming. In this sense, Smart grid plays a critical role in green ocean campaign. |
